Elma’s Friend

While my brother and I bought some grocery items at Zher’s Market I met my friend Elma there. She immediately asked me to go with her. She said we will go to a birthday of her friend. At first I don’t like to go with her because I’m not ready to go with a party. I told her I need to change my clothes first. But she said my dress is good. So, I said yes without thinking. I told my brother that I’ll go with Elma. The birthday celebrant lives in the next city, so we travel half an hour. The weather is not good there’s a snow storm. Our driver, Elma’s husband asks the address of her friend. But, sad to say Elma forgot the exact location of the place. She called her friend through her cell phone but it’s unavailable. We tried to locate the place but we can not find. So, we decided to go to the nearest mall to look for the yellow book so that we can call her friend’s land line phone. But, still we can not find, so we stay for a moment and then our driver get angry now. He wants to go home. So, we decided to go home immediately. When we arrived at home, Elma phoned her friend and relates the story to her.

Niagara River

It’s Niagara River the border between the Province of Ontario in Canada and New York State in the United States. That part in the picture is already a part of New York, United States. According to my brother this is their fishing area but sometimes they also go fishing at Guelph Lake. Same with the lake Ontario, Niagara River is one of the best places for fishing. Most fishermen love to go fishing there.  Most of them catch salmon, steel head trout, small mouth bass, walleye, and many more.

Myself

I was once an ordinary citizen of the Philippines. When I was young I had only very simple dream. To finish my studies, get a permanent job before getting married. I courageously attended classes until I finished Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) at Bukidnon State College. I took a teacher’s board exam, one of the requirements to enter a government service.

I’m so thankful and praise God because I passed the board exam last August 2005. I worked as a public school teacher since January 1996, handling grade six pupils. I got married to my college boyfriend, also a teacher and presently a schools principal in our place. We’re blessed with one handsome son, 14 young of age now. Even though I got a descent job in the Philippines for 11 years as a teacher but it’s not enough to live a descent and comfortable life. That’s why I decided to go Canada to sake a greener pasture. As of now I’m here at Ontario Canada and still adjusting to my new environment which very different to my homeland.
